I think she has changed hands in the past year but still well looked after and seems very active on the Thames.

For some reason Pictures of her at Blyth appear to be as rare as Hen's Teeth.

I think the following is a reasonable shot at her history gathered from a few sources.....

HORTON.

Built by Richard Dunstan at Thorne in 1968 as Yard Number 1244 and Delivered to Blyth Harbour Commissioners as a replacement for the CHIPCHASE.
Classed for service within 4 miles of Blyth.
31 Gross. Length 17.1 m. Beam 4.7 m. Draught 2.0 m.
OR in real money...
Length. oa 57' 12. bp 50' 0".
Breadth. Extreme 16' 7". Moulded 15' 6"
Draught Max 5' 3" Depth Moulded 7' 0"
Fitted with 3 Bulkheads and with a water Ballast Capacity of 10 Tons.
Single Hatch 4' x 4'
Oil 4SA 8 Cy 6.5" x 7.25" reverse reduction geared by Bergius-Kelvin Co Ltd. Glasgow. Speed 8 kts. 243 bhp.
Re-engined 1997, make unknown.

1974. Sold to Fleetwood Trawlers at Fleetwood. No Name Change.
1979. Sold to M. Tugs (A.P. McCann) at London and renamed D. A. McCANN.
Although operated on the Thames 'M' Tugs address was 2 Skamacre Crescent, Lowestoft.
Later they also bought the MAXIMUS.
1986. Sold to A. W. Marine Services Ltd, 11 Ewan Close, Leigh-on-Sea.
AW=Andy Wood.
Renamed HORTON.

About 2009 sold to Palmers Marine of Gravesend.
