This must be the Peter Race I knew as a youngster in the Boy Scouts at Redcar.

Peter is probably 65 plus now......

I used to work with him at Northern Gas.

Renamed HUAYING 382 and remains an operational lifeboat in Shenzen China,as of latest report 08.18.

08/2008 is the date she arrived in China. Latest report from December 2018 still has her at Shenzhen Stations, Nanhai Bureau, Guangdong, China.

I still think of the "Tyne" class as being modern, although most if not all have been sold out of service. Having said that, though PHIL MEAD was built in 1986 which makes her 33 years old........
