Bearing out recent remarks posted on NEM regarding how quiet things are on the river these days the highlight of movements on the river today seems be the departure at about 8am of the tug MTS INDUS and the dredging barge PRINS 5, to Leer.
The self propelled hopper barge PRINS 3, sitting at the Fish Quay today, will be following them in due course apparently. The trio have been engaged in dredging operations at the Royal Quays, as illustrated by creemaster's recent photo. The barge was built way back in 1969.
