Hasn't been much sign of activity so far but the big crane is active again, the scaffolding has gone and FAST SUS has arrived with what looks like a cargo of tubes. Photo taken 20/06/2019.

Smulders yard today (13/12/2019) with plenty of legs on show but a distinct lack of tops to go on them.
Perhaps they are waiting for better weather windows in the NY.

I hear on the Hebburn grapevine that the tops will not be arriving until February.

The first delivery of tops for Smulders new contract. They were brought in on the barge SM253 towed by MULTRATUG 17.
Local tugs SVITZER SUN & TYNE assisting to the berth.
These seem larger and heavier than previous tops.

Spotted from the A189 Spine Road on the way to work on 17th July
That's at 6.30am and I know 'work' is a four letter word and distant memory to some members of this forum

Smulders are currently building substations for the Moray West and Inch Cape windfarms. This is the first time substations have been built here.
I guess these are them at the east end of the yard.

This is a new shed at the west end of the Smulders yard.
Don't know what they plan on using it for and I don't know what the big tubes are for either.
