Strange to have a tanker at Newcastle quay, was she laid up or broken down ??

I would imagine that she was for sale Mike. BP used that location for a number of their tankers before they were sold.
She was sold later that year

The "British Fulmar" was in fact laid up at Newcastle awaiting sale to the Chinese. I was a junior engineer on the ship, and left the ship there.
