BBC reports she will be in every 3 days and the crane can be seen for miles,
Not from Blyth though :D

Come a long way since the 1970s when Heerema had this one !

Aegir could lift that one on board herself :D
she sure is making fast work of taking them bases up to Aberdeen and back, now off the Tyne again (Fri 14.00)
she does not anchor but stays well off due to her draft using her DPS

Mariner called into Blyth in the late 1970s.
Heerema's fleet at that time was her, a few deep sea tugs, barges and the two heavy lift barges (but really they were not barges to look at more rigs) which went for scrap last year after 40 years service
