What a smart looking ship in her day, 'looks like' an ex tanker converted into a cargo ship

See also:
http://www.teesbuiltships.co.uk/view.ph ... el=HOLBERGfrom which it would seem she was built as, and always was, a general cargo ship.
On that basis she seems to have been years ahead of her time in being engines aft?
There would be tankers and probably bulk carriers, but I struggle to think of engines-aft general cargo ships dating back to the 40s apart from war-built ships such as Cunard's BRESCIA. .... but keep me right!!

.... and now you remind me of these, there were the later EMPIRE ships from the mid-40s which became the BENLEDI and sisters.
