Leaving the river on 27 July 1968. Following the fire on her sister ship Blenheim two months previously, Braemar was now running a single-ship service.

BRAEMAR (5050074), Norway, 4776gt, completed Thornycroft, Woolston/Oslo, 5-1953
1953 BRAEMAR - 1975 THE PHILIPPINE TOURIST - became a floating casino at Manila 1976 and deleted 1978

River Tyne - 28 August 1972 .... the story of my life .... can't now find the negative!!!
Checking my records I was very surprised to see this was actually my first sighting of this lovely ship, although I'd seen her sister often enough.

I believe she was the last traditional North Sea passenger vessel in service when she was replaced by the car ferry BORGEN in 1975
Sold to Dashwood Finance Ltd., Manila, she was converted to a floating casino, and moored in Manila Bay. The fire which gutted her at Manila in 1980 sealed her fate
Here she is departing the Tyne on 6th June 1962

Indeed a lovely looking vessel a nice "Rake" on her, in today's world about the same size as a Russian Oligarchs Private Yacht if you can find them as they keep turning their AIS off and "Go Dark", fortunately no collisions yet.
