Maybe it's going 'upriver'. How far could it navigate in the Tyne, given its low draft and subject to any bridge restrictions.

Well she is not going to get above Newcastle Quayside. At a very rough estimate her Air Draught is 100ft. Clearence under the Millennium Bridge is only 86ft and at 44ft beam she may also be to wide.

I'd heard the last remaining Wallsend drydock, either to have the spare(?) structure removed or even the job broken up.

Seems like a long tow just to have her broken up.

Unfortunately I would guess that the idea and most probably the Sale of her was before Covid struck the World making such an idea non viable, best cut their losses and scrap her as I understand Scrap and indeed Rolex watches are showing good returns at the moment ;)

If the conversion goes ahead and as I have indicated previously the Dutch are very keen on preservation it will certainly looks to be an interesting outcome, I wonder if you will be able to order a cup of coffee and a spliff. :D

So back to her birth-place, now that's starting to make sense ... but why not go there direct? Maybe she needs to fill out a truck full of EU import forms.
