Why else do you think I put the non-specific "River Tyne" as the location??

Looking again at the order in which I took my photos I would say this location is on the north bank of the river, somewhere between Walker/Wallsend (see OLWEN) and Northumbria Quay (see VENUS). I took the photo after seeing the BOBBY SHAFTOE on the south bank. Hope this might help memories.

I do recall seeing and photographing other colliers at this berth over the years - see FULHAM X in 1967 for example
