Very true!! Which is why I love looking at HIS technicolor efforts to remember those same ships I saw back in the 70s!

Now, the observant among you may have noticed a lull in the 50 YEARS AGO TODAY series? They will not resume until the end of February 2014 (having stopped abruptly on 25 April 2013)! Quite obviously my schoolboy pocket money back then did not stretch to spending on rolls of 120 film! (Now, oodles of sympathy required!!!)

At least you had a Camera that took "PROPER" sized photographs............I had progressed to one of those "POSH" little Instamatic Camera's that took SQUARE pictures. Great for People but totaly useless for Ships.

I think it was about 1977 when I splashed out on a Pentax K1000 after buying an odd assortment of second hand 35mm stuff!
