CITY OF PARIS (9174775), Isle of Man, British, 9950gt, completed Akitsu 9-1999

A Tyne regular making her debut on NEM!
In berth at Jarrow - 18 March 2013, three of them in, but the other two nicely obscured!

That, I thought, would be it for her for the day but, having then chased another ship to the river mouth I headed back towards Mill Dam to catch what I had missed ..... running into a hailstorm ... as the CITY OF PARIS sailed by. This is what my camera saw!:

Jouri (ex-City of Paris). IMO 9174775. Ex car carrier. Announced to be broken up in December 2018
according to her classification society at the time, Lloyd's Register of Shipping, she was finally
converted to livestock carrier and resumed trading in March 2020. Length 100 m. Lebanese flag.
Classification society Indian Register of Shipping. Built in 1999 in Akitsu (Japan) by Shin Kurushima.
Owned by Etab Shipping SA registered in Panama c/o Safe Sea Services (Lebanon). Detained in 2007
in Brest (France). She arrived on July 27, 2020 at Beirut Port and was docked at the end of the wharf
facing the grain silos and warehouse n°12. She remained anchored in Beirut and eft on her own power
towards Piraeus (Greece) on August 27. Her status is still "in casualty / repairing".
One of seven ships caught in the wharehouse blast elier this year in Beirut
