YELLOWTAIL

YELLOWTAIL

Postby teesships » Sun Feb 23, 2014 6:03 pm

Albert Weller took this slide of a nice-looking (former?) trawler YELLOWTAIL circa August 1976 and, I think, at Lowestoft.

I have found no details of her career, but she may previously have held the fishing no. LT326. What I can find is plenty of references to her current status as a wreck in Lowestoft harbour (raised fairly recently?) but with no details of when she foundered, etc. Can anyone fill in all these various blanks, please.

I wonder if she was naval in origin, one of the wooden harbour craft?

Well done to our two super-sleuths! Now we only need details of her sinking!
