Considering how old these vessels are they are doing well (1988 on this particular vessel) certainly not liked by all although my own thoughts are that they are adequate for what they do and their intended War Role which is the Defence of Class A Ports and Anchorages, I have sailed on a two of this Class on a M.O.D. project off the West Coast of Scotland when they were fairly new. Their two engines on V Drives are easy to change as the 'Soft Patch' is the Quarterdeck. Unlike Private vessels of the same construction they don't suffer from Osmosis or at least they shouldn't as far as I am aware and the Hulls were built strong to go faster than their present speed restriction, however I understand they have had Engine changes since I was on them which may improve their restricted previous upper limit.
Provision for an LMG on the Foredeck and a couple of Boxes of Stun Genades will soon get to grips with the Spetsnaz Frogmen whom it is thought would swim in and interfere with Shore Installations :?
