Rame Head constructed by North Vancouver Ship Repair, Vancouver, BC, Canada.
LD 12 July 1944, yno 149
L 22 Nov 1944
C 18 Aug 1945
She was 1 of the 21 in the class, all for the RN, employed initially in different repair and support roles, with a few transferred to civilian ownership before completion, more post WW2.
All were constructed by 3 Canadian yards who were merchant specialists, NVSR built many of the Forts operated for the MOWT by various agents.
Thats all folks. Sean.

Rame Head is in the English County furthest from the North East, situated in S E Cornwall just to the West of the greater Plymouth harbour, so it is to port as you enter.

The N C I, National Coastwatch Institution have a centre here which can be found at
http://www.nci.org.uk/ramehead
excellent for the local weather reports, with a webcam, and a decent piece on the nearby remote Eddystone Lighthouse, or Douglass' Tower.
You can also access the other N C I locations via Rame Head.
Thats all folks. Sean.
