Completed in 1959 by J.Readhead & Sons, South Shields. 9600grt Motorship
Renamed STRATHADDIE in 1976. The Strick Line was a subsidiary of P and O since 1923, during 1972/1973 the Strick cargo liners were transferred to the General Cargo Division of P and O and sadly lost their famous red and blue funnel chevrons in favour of the the Groups more utilitarian turquoise blue funnel markings. The ships were given 'A' prefixes to new 'Strath' names
Sold to Cori Shipping Corp., Liberia, in 1978 renamed SOPHOCLES
Sold in 1981 to Maldive Shipping Ltd., renamed MALDIVE PRIDE
Arrived Vizaghiapatham for demolition in September 1983

Photographed outward bound passing Custom House Quay, Greenock
The distinctive red and blue chevrons displayed by ships of the Strick Line had my vote as the most attractive funnel marking to be seen in their day
