Hmas Cerberus

Came across this photograph on the State Library of Victoria website. Thought it seemed a funny place for a mast to be fitted. I don't think it was fitted like this by Palmers but it must have worked.

Cerberus as a breakwater at the Black Rock sailing club on Port Phillip Bay on 14 August 1993. (Still visible on Google Earth)

So why not a 'bring her home' campaign!

I think the "Friends of the Cerberus" may have something to say about that.

Better to go for something like EPPLETON HALL.

Have you noticed that the first picture is back to front?
From the small picture I wondered if it was an additional Gun Tub, but Dave's pictures clearly show a mast going through the Ventilator. Probably an easy way of securing the foot of the mast to something solid.
