Hi Sean, just for clarrification, what is wrong with the Tynebuiltships caption? Is it the difference between "intended" and "planned"?

We are all aware that the Tynebuiltships site is principally your work Dave and is deservedly used extensively by many for reference.

However with these 4 H L built destroyers as i state the site reads... planned Turkish name was, then either Napier, Narbrough, Offa or Ogre, which is false.
These were the original planned, or ex, names for the RN which were renamed as Talisman, Termagant, Trident and Turbulent, there is no ambiguity in my post or phrasing.

The names the Turks originally planned for the 4 are unknown, their involvement had long ceased, they were now the enemy and Armstrong's battleship Agincourt as she was in RN service was pretty much the singular incendiary move which turned the Turks.
Thats all folks. Sean.

Hawthorn Leslie. Amazing shipbuilders and Marine engineers. Its impossible to appreciate the amount of skill practised there, as well as all the other yards and engine works.
