Launch of the Ocean Transport with Tynesider and George V aft.
The twin funnel tanker in the background 'I think' is the shell tanker Solen.
I think this is about 1961 ish!

Not bad 25th September 1961.
Launched by Hawthorn Leslie for the 'British Empire Steam Navigation Co Ltd & Empire Transport Co Ltd, Registered Swansea.
In other words Houlders.

Cargo ship of 8,608 Gross, Sold 1980 and broken-up as the ELLION HOPE at Gadani Beach. Arrival 27th February 1983.
