The INGLEBY CROSS, towing the VASCO, lines up to head into the lock out of Middlesbrough Dock.
INGLEBY CROSS, Tees Towing Co. Ltd., Middlesbrough, 132gt, completed Bowling 10-1955.
68 GRIBBIN HEAD - 92 TUSKAR ROCK - 11 TRIVA II (now owned in Malta)

Although not a ship I ever saw myself, John Harrower's WILSON LINE, a WSS publication, provides career details for the VASCO.
Ellerman's Wilson Line, Hull, 2878gt, 12.10.1939 launched as VASCO by William Gray & Co. Ltd., West Hartlepool; 12.1939 completed; 20.1.1941 damaged by aerial bombing at Piraeus; 25-27.5.1941 attacked and damaged by enemy aircraft in Mediterranean; 12.12.1948 struck submerged object and beached while off Spurn Head; 7.1.1949 refloated but rebeached near Cleethorpes for temporary repairs; 10.1.1949 refloated and taken to Immingham for repair; 13.2.1956 damaged in collision with INDIAN EXPORTER in Gravesend Reach; 12.6.1963 sold and renamed BROOKFIELD (Greece), 1968 EVANGELOS Z (Cyprus), 21.6.1973 demolition commenced at Split, Yugoslavia.
