If she is outward from the Tees to Hartlepool why is she heading South. If she was heading for Hartlepool the sea should be behind her.......

Think you might be, missing something that it. Answers on a post card please addressed to Hebburn Lad.
I think the first photo is taken from the north bank of the Tees looking towards the Cleveland Hills and sea to the left.

Spot on Whickers, that's Christ Church, Coatham and the high land behind is rising to Hunt Cliff beyond Saltburn, a very interesting long view down the Yorkshire coast. Redcar, Marske and Saltburn are 'lost' behind or to the left of the dunes in the foreground. The white building on the cliff is 'Coastguard Cottages', I think.
