Any idear what is towing her??

Comment from my "Local Correspondent"

She came to the Tay on 22nd June last year, reportedly for about three months to be cleaned prior to being taken to Turkey for scrapping, but she remains here after more than a year and will in due course be taken to Norway instead - apparently because the cleaning could not be completed at Dundee and I believe that what has been done has been far more expensive than expected.

She has gone to Norway on her journey to Turkey. Currently berthed in Vatsfjorden east of Stavanger to complete the decontamination.

Looking at where she was berthed in Dundee, I would not be surprised if there had been some local concern about these 'contaminants' being handed there. I would never have bought a Dundee cake ever again!

Heaven knows what goes into Pontefract cakes eh George?

Setting a New world record for the largest/heaviest SPMT operation, utilizing 748 Axle lines. The 235 meter long FPSO will now be further dismantled and recycled at AF Environmental Base Vats in Rogaland, Norway.

It was The War of Jenkins Ear in 1739. From school history I recall that Jenkins was a merchant captain who had his ear cut off by a Spaniard and the said ear was produced in the British Parliament and the war resulted.
