Not a good year for local shipbuilders.

The PETER G CAMPBELL looks interesting, assume as she was non-propelled she was towed across. They must have built her for a VERY good price to make all that worthwhile.

Here we have the 3rd and final resumé of ships under repair amongst the Tyne yards including a brief excursion to the Wear and W Hartlepool.

The Middle Docks and Engineering Co Ltd .
No 2 Dock - Essex Oak undergoing survey repairs
No 3 Dock - Nyanza bottom damage repairs
Alongside for survey is the Kafiristan.

Messrs John Readhead And Sons' yard have
No 1 Dock - Alacrity for survey
No 2 Dock - Dartford bottom damage repairs and general overhaul
Alongside Bellview and Glenbank are receiving machinery repairs whilst Fireglow is having an overhaul.

The Tyne Dock Engineering Co have completed voyage repairs to the Otur.
They also have the Bisley and Nailsea Court alongside.

Messrs Brigham and Cowan have overhauled the Jarrow ferry A. B. Gowan where she occupied No 1 Dock with Hartfield alongside for survey work.

A few vessels are under repair on the Wear, chiefly at Messrs. Greenwell and Sons' yard and at Messrs. Austin and Sons' yard while vessels are alongside the quays at practically all the other establishments.

The Flashlight is in Austins' Dock, on the pontoon is the Atlantic.

Leeds City, Llanishen and West Wales are at Messrs. Dickinson's quay.

Laing's Dock have the Suuk and Regfos.

Messrs. W. Gray and Co., West Hartlepool, have dealt with the City of Bristol and trawler Strathdee in dock with the City of Winchester and Sheaf Crest alongside.

Thank you for your interest and taking the time to view these brief observations done at the time stated. A mere glance of an era 85 years ago which illustrates the dire straits many yards found themselves having to endure, those on the Tyne here amongst the worst afflicted Nationally.
Thats all folks. Sean.
