Starch Berth!!!

Only just over two years ago it was still possible to photograph ships at the (former?) Starch Berth at Howdendyke - see photo of SHOREHAM at: viewtopic.php?f=151&t=1260

Now, there is an impenetrable, waist-high, bed of nettles lining the riverbank and access is no longer possible (without a machete!). So, on 13 June 2014 this was the only view I could get of the SEA EMS there!

.... and, no, this did not go into my records as a ship sighting ...!!!

Of course you saw it, Ron!
I have just logged this as a sighting ....
Golden rule, if it has a name, it's a sighting!

Agreed in principle (including the famous occasion I saw both the JEVINGTON and ELIZABETE at the same time, because one name was on the bow, the other on the stern). However, my Golden Rule no. 2 (these days) is that I also have to be able to get a decent shot of the vessel concerned.

Decisions! Decisions!

Ron, the vegetation remains just as challenging for that berth!
