Under new plans for the Local Councils to take over Bus Services, both the Tyne Ferry's could be withdrawn.

Thanks, Kevin. I have amended my database entry to read:
SPIRIT OF THE TYNE, completed by VT Halmatic, Portchester, 12-2006

Will be a great shame if these ferries are withdrawn ... presumably the replacement bus trip would be via the Tyne Tunnel?

Forgot that I had taken this one, last week. The crew of the SPIRIT OF THE TYNE practicing their man overboard procedures.
The way that they handled the boathook he/she would have been bludgeoned to death before they were brought aboard.
I was just too late to capture the body being hauled up.
