Good Morning all. Are we sure that we're looking at the Tyne? Tynesider was chartered off the river for a while before her untimely demise on Loch Fyne in 1994 - was she off the river earlier than that? (Nothing in John Proud's book). Did your Dad take any other pictures on the same occasion Graeme?

I 'm with Dennis on this one. Like Paul I have been up and down the Tyne on Google maps, but on both sides of the river and I can't find a match for those buildings near the riverside. Similar on the Wear and it can't be the Tees because the sun is shining. So where?

If you dont' mind, for my 'two penneth', I still think its along from Bill Quay looking across the river to the Pottery Bank/St Anthony's area.Its just before the corner opposite International Paints (Akzo Noble?) and before the reach down to St Peters See what you think?

I can see the general regeneration, pathways etc, but I just can't see the blocks of flats, or whatever they are. Maybe I'm blind as well as stupid.

So we are on the South Bank looking North...........
