Picture of Ridleys tugs Monty,Wonder and Marty at broads landing buoys, for those that don't know that's Brigham & Cowens yard behind.

Mike

Sorry I do not know whose pictures these are, as many have been sent to me over the years and many collected/bought from South Shields Market postcards, I do have permission to show others from Norman Dunn's collection.

Fine views.
In the upper one, FORT GLOUCESTER in background would put this post-war up to 1950, she carried the name 1943-1950 then became BEDFORD PRINCE.
Can't quite read the one behind her.

As George states, top image shows fwd part of Fort Gloucester and may be the only record of her as such.
Can a date be established, or could it be...
Arrived on the Tyne 20 June 1945 for continuation of repairs sustained 18 Aug 1944 when torpedoed by German S-Boote mid Channel from the Seine in ballast. Thereafter beached 8 Sept, refloated with initial repairs at Tilbury 20 Feb 1945, thence to the Tyne.
Anyone with a date for completion of this work. Came close to being a constructive total loss, which came later on 14 June 1953.

Images of the Fort class ships seem very scarce, as built, with their original names.
