McNulty movement

McNulty movement

Postby Tynesider » Sun Sep 30, 2012 6:43 pm

Another familiar Tyneside structure will soon be leaving the Tyne, this time it is the 500 ton yellow tower at the McNulty yard South Shields.

The tower will be fixed to the sea bed 3 mile off Blyth and used as a testing station by Blyth Narec offshore wind turbine test facility.

The jack up vessel MPI Adventure will be arriving soon to load it, she will go stern first to McNulty yard to load it, she will then go back alongside the quay to secure it to the deck.

It should make a good photograph 'if' it sails in daylight!
