Built in 1961 by Austins for Booker Ship Finance Co., Liverpool, who had important interests in the sugar industry in British Guiana. Bulk cargoes of sugar were only available at Georgetown in spring and autumn therefore for the remainder of each year the ship was employed as a muli-purpose bulk carrier in the general tramping trade. She was equipt for Great Lakes service.
In 1966 her length was increased in Smiths Dock, North Shields
Panamanian interests bought her in 1978 and renamed her CARIBBEAN MEMORIES
As the Maltese flagged vessel TRADER she made her way to Alang breakers in 1986
In this June 1972 view she is about to enter James Watt Dock, Greenock, where she would berth at the Tate & Lyle sugar warehouse.
