The Turks like the Spanish were expert at keeping ancient British steamers running in the post-war years!
This one also interesting as one of the first to be bought into the Irish Shipping fleet which was formed as an emergency in 1941 when they suddenly realised that being neutral meant that UK was not obliged to continue to bring them their supplies .... although I am sure Britain did!
