Just for the record in case of use in future when someone tackles Blyth shipyards on-line!
'Marine News' recorded arrival at Granton on 27/04/1961 for breaking by Malcolm Brechin, the non-prop grab dredger CAR CRAIG ex B.H.C. No.11.
1909, 284grt by Blyth SB & DD Co.
It seems she passed to the NER I think in 1934 for work at Bo'ness, thence to British Transport Commission from 1948 nationalisation.

She was the last of three built by BDD in 1909. BHC's 9, 10 and 11. 290 Gross.
But I have her down as a Harbour Barge and not a Dredger, so presumably she was Converted at some point.

B.H.C. Nos 9, 10 and 11 were all sold to Peter C McLeod of 57 Grange Road Alloa, Co Clackmanan (Classed as Managing Owner) circa 1933.

Nos 9 and 10 were sold on to Risdon Beazley Ltd, Southampton circa 1940.

Haws has B.H.C. No 11 sold to the LNER Scottish Region, based at Bo'ness and renamed CAR CRAIG in 1934.

Transferred to B.T.C. Scottish Region on the 1st January 1948.

To BTC Docks & Inland Waterways Executive 1st Jan 1949.

Scrapped 1964 (So the scrapping date must be wrong.)

Paul, I haven't yet looked at later MN's in case there was a later entry than the report in 1961. Maybe she had a reprieve.

I suspect it's Duncan's date that is wrong, George.
