Launched on the 5th February 1920 by William Gray and Co. (1918) Limited, Sunderland as Yard Number 934, for the Shipping Controller, London as the WAR MOTH.
Purchased by the Peninsular and Oriental Steam Navigation Company Limited while she was being fitted out and renamed JEYPORE.

15th May 1920. Ran trials and P&O took delivery.

3rd November 1942. Sunk in the North Atlantic by U89 whilst on a voyage from Baltimore to Hull with Explosives and General.

5,318 Gross. 8,179 Dwt.
T3 cy by Central Marine Engine Works, West Hartlepool.
2,644 ihp. 11.25 knots.
Employed on the India to Japan Service.
