Think there was a bbc programme from years ago about him and his trips to Seaburn
Think none of the staff knew who he was at the time, was he one of those who were more famous after his death

There is a book titled "L.S. Lowry in the North East" which highlights his Art Work around the River Wear area, he was also quite fond of painting Ships in Glasgow Docks.
He could have been more famous in his own lifetime if he had painted Walls and made some money to put in the Bank(sy) ;)
