SCOT EXPLORER

Postby Dennis Maccoy » Thu Dec 14, 2023 4:57 pm

Scot Explorer 9841794, completed at Hoogezand in The Netherlands in 2019, at Sunderland this afternoon – apparently an unscheduled call to deal with cargo shift issues.

It seems that some of the logs forming the deck cargo are now bobbing about somewhere off Seaton Sluice/Whitley Bay.

Some have been brought ashore by concrned residents who are helping them dry out in their log burners !

For those who are suitably lubricated on New Year Eve along with thanks to the Catering Department who made great efforts to make the festivities an enjoyable one for those of us away from home. Other engines are/were available to make their own dance to although I would like to see one for those horrendous Pielstick Marine Engines or even a Deltic.
