Another fine postcard from Kevin, showing a busy river at Newcastle.
Card was posted 24/03/1911 and just arrived yesterday.

I hope the parcel I've posted to you today arrives quicker than that!

I'll put my money on the steamer being George Gibson's TALISMAN of 1872

The photo there is a bit limited but there's a better one in the WSS book, 1988, 'George Gibson & Company' by Graeme Somner, where everything seems to match. I rather like the raised walkway which at sea would give dry access from the bridge deck to the fo'csle.

Now for the 4-master in the distance ... I've ruled out Aberdeen Line (Geo. Thomson).
