I have no information regarding the picture. Notice a wherry in attendance on the steamer

The only "Local" company that had colours like that was Sharp & Co Limited of Newcastle.
ie Black with two white bands.
Early steamers of around 500 tons were DUNMAIL; ELEMORE; EPPLETON; ROTHA; SHEARWATER and SINDBAD.
It looks a shortish name.............but this is pure guesswork.
