The card says Wallsend but it is looking down to Jarrow Slake or Slacks. You can see the Isolation Hospital just to the right of the floating dock (AFD4). The card is dated in the 20's.

That really is an incredible photo, if only you (one) could zoom in closer to the various yards and docks along the riverside.
