An image captured one Sunday in March 1967. Not too many folk in evidence around the market stalls. Was I too early a riser that day, or have all the bargain hunters been and gone!

When you have a load of Russian bargain hunters along side and the means to load and store them,no wonder theres nothing left.Not even a Larda?

She's the BUKHTARMA of the Murmansk Shipping Co, USSR.

Built by Neptun VEB at Rostock in 1966.
3,361 Gross. 4,234 Dwt.
3,250 bhp diesel giving 13.5/14 kts.

Sold in 1995 and renamed SUN SHINE 1. Panama Flag.

Capsized 25th July 1995 on a voyage from Singapore to Yangon.
