Wallsend Ferry Landing

The ferry coming in is the Tyne Duchess. The only name i can see is the Athel boat at Leslies which i think is Athelstane and would date the photo to 1955.

.... and by comparison of photos on Dave's site, the biggish one on the slipway at right should be VOLA, launched 08/1955 (ATHELSTANE launched 04/1955, completed 09/1955) so maybe around July for the photo.
