Tyne Dock

Kevin sent me this view of Tyne Dock taken in about 1947.
Look at all those "boxes" in the foreground, where Riverside Quay is now.

Wonder what they are, too early for packaged timber! Maybe it's stacks of loose timber?
Were the slipways by the entrance used by TIC for their own craft?

Could be TIC but they had a main workshop on the north bank of the river at Howdon.
So don't know who ran that slipway.
