Middle Docks, seen from the top of the staiths that stood where the Passenger Terminal RoRo berths are today, in December 1964. A surprisingly empty river with nothing at Harton Staiths or any of the buoy moorings.

They must have known you were going to brave the climb and take a picture, Dennis.

By contrast if you saw that many ships today you would say the River was busy. :lol:

I did that about this time last year on a grass bank by the Bandstand, and it was more than my pride that got hurt.... :mrgreen:
