Another interesting photo from Kevin Blair. Hebburn Ferry Landing with FAIRY QUEEN obscured by the landing itself.
SH&WR yard at Wallsend on the other side of the river with the Mauretania sheds prominent. No date on the card unfortunately.

This FAIRY QUEEN? Which gives a date range 1912-1940.

Definitely a warship fitting out at Wallsend.

Well that narrows it down a bit (but not much) :-)

The destroyer across the river at Swans is 1 of 3 Acasta or K class they built.

Shark launch 30 July 1912
Sparrowhawk l 12 Oct 1912
Spitfire l 23 Dec 1912

As she is in the stream alone and appears complete will either be Shark or Spitfire.
Here, have a gander at this...the other pair are on the same site.

Thanks Sean, so maybe 1912 or 13. Swans completions in 1912 show quite a few Floating Docks and that berth immediaely in front of the warship is where I believe the docks were built. So my thoughts are more to 1913. See list of completions here: http://www.tynebuiltships.co.uk/Year1913.html
But that leaves a further eight merchantmen completed that year from the berths in view plus those in the East Yard.
