Another post card from Kevin Blair. Apparently this one was posted 20/07/1905 so I guess a turn of the century view. A line of four wherries being taken down river by a steam tug. The first three barges look as though they are full of coal, the last one something heavier, may be iron products.
Quite where this is I am not sure. Shipyard on the left must be on the north bank of the Tyne. Looks like an Armstrong cruiser behind the wherries, so could be Elswick or maybe their other yard at Low Walker. Hmmm.
