Another old post card from Kevin Blair, this one posted 24/10/1910, showing the Fish Quay Landing Stage at North Shields with two of the Tyne General ferries alongside.

I've attached a map from 1895 to help identify the location.

Also a view from Google maps showing the location as it is today.

The three rather smart vessels marked 'Tyne' and numbered seem too classy to be fishing boats, maybe they are connected to pilotage?
And the covered bow at extreme bottom, could this be a lifeboat?

Possibly the HENRY VERNON? On station at Tynemouth from 1905 until post-war

Not sure if this is the same lifeboat as in the previous photo but does show the same landing stage.
Back of photo says Tyne Lifeboat 1912.
Photo has also come courtesy of Kevin.

Definitely HENRY VERNON, then, among other rescues she sailed all the way down to Whitby to assist in saving lives from https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/SS_Rohilla
