I hadn't noticed the "trio of wee oar powered boats". Professional rowing races were a big thing on the river in the mid 1800s.

Ah, you remember Hercule Parrot, ze great tug detective Alas, he dropped off his perch some years back. A sad loss to the world of shipping research.
