An undated view photographed looking westwards from the High Level Bridge, by a family member. The Queen Elizabeth II Metro Bridge, built out from each bank simultaneously, and opened by Her Majesty in November 1981, crosses the river nowadays more or less above the site of the wooden jetty seen on the north bank.
