A Hartlepool Museums photo of the West Hartlepool Sea Cadets getting in a bit of rowing practice and in the background is M333, part of the mothball fleet.
She was HMS SEABEAR, an Algerine Class minesweeper, laid down as ST.THOMAS by Redfern Construction at Toronto but completed as SEABEAR. She was broken up at Preston in 1958.

Caught a couple of "Crabs" there :) Minesweepers were held in "Ready Reserve" and first out of the box when it came to Re Commissioning due to the concern that the Soviet first weapon of choice would be Sea Mines, there wouldn't be too many "Tons" available around the date due the hold up with the Deltics and water leaking into the Cylinders meaning a temporary change of Engine fit and given most of the Algerines had not long been placed in Reserve in any case.
