At one time in late 50's/ early 60's there was a large Frank Mason painting at the top of the landing on the main staircase in York House which showed all the ships.....at the time the actual fleet had diminished to the Glasgow-Med service with the rest of the vessels being, I seem to remember coasters, many of which were on the London coal run.......they rarely came to the Tees and if they did every Manager disappeared down to,usually, Dents Wharf...........I was never allowed to visit.
