MAITLAND 1885

MAITLAND was completed by J. Knox at South Hylton in 1885 for Gulf Steamship Co. Ltd, Port Adelaide and used at various times as a tug and a passenger ferry, various owners around Melbourne and finally with Marine Board of Launceston who scuttled her off Tasmania in 1955.

Did she get out there under her own steam??
