Summity was lost 6 months later as Sumnia during the famous Michael Fish "Hurricane", when she was blown onto the breakwater at Dover.

Here is an interesting account from one of the DHB duty tugs crews of events that night

The SUMMITY was built at Goole in 1972.
1,595 Gross. 3,283 Dwt. 12.5 knots.
1987. Re SUMNIA.
Lost off Dover 16th October 1987.

ELVI KULL.
Built at Rendsburg in 1955 as REINHOLD KRUSEMARK.
294 Gross. 409 Dwt 8.5 knots.
